    Bimetal barrel manufacturing process
2018-04-05

The manufacturing process of a metal barrel can be briefly described as:

(1) Heat the barrel body of the cylinder that has been machined inside and outside the barrel in a heating furnace, and the heating temperature is similar to the melting point of the abrasion-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy lining to be cast, about 1000 to 1100°C (according to different Lining material depending on);

(2) The weight of the wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant alloy required is accurately weighed and then heated to melt;

(3) The barrel body heated to the specified temperature is taken out of the heating furnace and quickly placed on the centrifugal casting machine at high speed;

(4) The melted wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy is rapidly poured into the cavity of the barrel body rotating at a high speed, and the abrasion-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy is melted and coagulated into one body by the centrifugal force so that the hole wall in the body of the machine body is uniformly dense.

(5) Cool the barrel wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant linings that have been bimetallic cast, and then mill the barrel bore.
